Religious, Educational, Social development and Health services to civil districts of Odisha. It has been rendering educational services to the rural areas through vernacular schools. The growing residential population of Sambalpur had been demanding for a stable and quality school since long. The felt demand of people and the well-reflected mode of the Presbyterian Community (Diocesan Priests) of the diocese merged together to give birth to St. John’s School at Sambalpur in 2003

St. John’s School came to its existence on 2nd April 2003, with its inauguration by Sri Pretnanidhi Sethi, -OAS, Sub-collector of Sambalpur. Rev. Fr. Emil Soren, SVD, Vicar general of the diocese blessed the new school which started humbly in the hall of St. Joseph’s Church, Sakhipara, Sambalpur.

Now St. John’s School has its own land and well-equipped structure at Vianney Nagar in Sarla area. The school was shifted to the new premises on 3rd April 2006 most Rev. Bishop Lucas Kerketta, SVD blessed the new school in Vianney Nagar. St. John’s School is Preparing the children for ICSE examination, New Delhi, which is Internationally recognized for its excellence. St. John’s School is affiliated to ICSE, New Delhi on February 12, 2015 bearing the No. OR092/ 2015.

Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.
